Matt Giorgio

Matt is the parent of Luke, a current Armstrong student, who began at the school in 3rd grade.  Matt joined the Board in 2023 and serves on various Committees.  He appreciates the opportunity to be on the Armstrong Board as a way to serve the organization that provides such an amazing environment for his son to learn and grow.  Matt considers Armstrong to be a community that demonstrates inclusivity as his family was warmly welcomed by parents, teachers, and faculty of the school when his son started. Like many other families, the path to Armstrong was full of challenges, which gives his family an immense feeling of gratitude. Matt is a CPA with experience in public accounting through providing services to not-for-profit as well as commercial organizations. Matt currently works at a large biopharma on the accounting team leading and contributing to the technical accounting of financial reporting. Matt also helps his family's local preschool by being responsible for the accounting and bookkeeping of the school as well as providing financial guidance to the Board of Directors. In addition, he previously volunteered his support as Controller with the Burlingame Community for Education Foundation. Matt earned a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University. He lives in Burlingame with his wife and four children.
