Travel provides remarkable opportunities for hands-on learning, personal growth, and bonding. Armstrong students fondly recall their adventures together as some of their favorite memories. They experience multi-day outdoor excursions in grades 5 through 8 including kayaking, white-water rafting, ropes course, river and coastal ecology studies, marine science, geology and geography studies, whale-watching, native cultures study, and American history tours.
Also in 8th grade, students go on a week-long trip to Washington D.C. as a culmination of their Middle School experience and a chance to see their social studies curricula come to life.
