Next School Placement
Armstrong’s Next School Placement Team is committed to assisting our students and families in their efforts to find their next school where they can continue to grow and thrive. Armstrong graduates matriculate to a myriad of different public and independent schools (see matriculation list) that fit their learning needs and aspirations.
For 8th-grade students, we have a comprehensive high school placement process that begins mid-7th grade for students and families. This includes formal and informal meetings, a coordinated timeline, and an on-campus High School Fair.
For non-8th-grade students, the next school placement process typically starts prior to their final year at Armstrong and with input from teachers and the division head. Transition readiness and potential next schools are individually evaluated for each student and family including assessment of academic skills, learning strategies, self-awareness, and self-advocacy.
