Evelyn Semenza

Evelyn Semenza joined the Armstrong community when her eldest child enrolled in 2nd grade. Seeing the enormous positive impact the school has had on her child, she is thrilled to support the school in unlocking the unique potential of even more students with dyslexia throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Evelyn is an education researcher, and community volunteer. Currently, she serves on the Armstrong DEIB Committee and is an active participant on the playground project. She also sits on the boards of the Friends of the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo and the LEMO Foundation. Evelyn managed evaluation work for a network of experiential learning schools in New York City, conducted research, and developed education policy guidance at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She graduated from Brown University with a joint degree in Public Policy and Sociology and an M.A. in Urban Education Policy. She, her husband, and their three children live in Palo Alto.
